Q

Must I sign a waiver?

A

Yes. Everyone who jumps and/or climbs is required to complete a waiver. under 18s must have their parent or legal guardian complete their waiver. Permission by phone or email is not enough. These will then be kept on file for future visits.

Waivers are valid for 1 year from the time of signing.

Do I have to complete a waiver every time I come to bounce?

A

No. Once a waiver has been completed, it lasts for 12 months.

Are there any weight or height restrictions?

A

Jumping:

  • Minimum age is 4 years old
  • Maximum weight limit is 17.5 stone
  • Minimum age to enter park unattended is 12 years old

Toddler Takoever:

  • Minimum age is 1 year old
  • Maximum age is 6 years old

Climbing:

  • Minimum age is 4 years old
  • Maximum weight limit is 20 stone
  • Minimum age to enter park unattended is 12 years old

AirSlides:

  • Maximum weight limit is 120kg/19 stone
  • Minimum height requirement is 1.20m

WipeOut:

  • Maximum weight of 91kg per person
  • Minimum height of 1.20m

Why do I need to wear grip socks?

A

Grip socks have been designed to increase grip on the trampolines, to reduce the risk of injury especially on our wall trampolines. Additionally, these socks are designed to reduce the chances of transferable foot infections and increase the comfort of all jumpers (by reducing friction).

These socks form an important part of our risk assessment and further reduce risks.

Therefore, AirHop grip socks are compulsary which can be purchased from £2.90 and are yours to keep and reuse.

Is there a safety briefing and how far in advance do I need to arrive?

A

Yes, everyone must attend an induction and health & safety briefing prior to entering the park.

All jumpers must arrive 30 minutes in advance of their session to allow time for check in and briefing.

Climbers must arrive 30 minutes in advance of their session to receive their safety briefings. Anyone arriving after the safety briefing has commenced will unfortunately lose their space in that session.

Can I change online and party bookings?

A

Yes, subject to availability.

Party bookings can be amended up to 7 days before the party, subject to availability. Please call 0330 223 3333.

Do I need to book in advance?

A

No, but we do recommend booking in advance to ensure we have availability for your time to jump. Weekends and holidays usually sell out in advance and walk-ins cannot be accommodated if we are sold out.

I don't have a credit/debit card. Can I pay when I get there?

A

Online bookings must be paid for at the time of booking. If you are unable to do this you can pay at reception upon arrival, but please be aware we cannot guarantee spaces will be available and you may have a long wait for the next session.

Do you have lockers?

A

AirHop has several free lockers available for valuables, phones etc. These are offered on a first come, first served basis. Your property is left in these lockers entirely at your own risk. These lockers have a 4-digit code and the instructions can be found on the inside of the door.

Can I bring my own food?

A

Due to our food health & safety policy, no self-catering is allowed. We do not allow outside food or beverages in our café. However, if you have booked a birthday party with us, you may bring in cake to consume in the designated party room.

Do you offer group rates?

A

Yes. For groups of 25 or more a discount applies during off peak periods. Click here for details.

Are parents required to attend children's parties?

A

The parent(s)/guardian(s) of the party child are required to stay on site throughout the party. The party guests’ parents are welcome to stay if they wish.

Do you have parking?

A

There is free parking with a number of disabled parking spaces at all AirHop parks for cars as well as a cycle park area.

Is AirHop safe?

A

As with any extreme sports/leisure activity there is an element of risk involved. We attempt to minimise the risks by using the best equipment and training our staff to a high level. For more information see Safety.

When is your peak time?

A

Our peak periods are Saturday & Sunday. School and Public Holidays are also considered peak time.

Is there an admission fee for people who are not jumping?

A

No, spectators can come in for free.

Spectators are welcome to take photos with no flash at either of our parks.

Can my children come and bounce without a parent or guardian?

A

Anyone 12 or over may come to bounce without a parent or guardian present. However, all customers under the age of 16 will need to have a waiver completed by a parent or guardian. The waiver is available whilst booking a session online.

Do you offer a carer's discount?

A

Yes, we support carers who come along to either AirHop Chelmsford or Colchester by offering their session completely free of charge when a valid carer I.D. is presented.

Do you have wheelchair access?

A

Chelmsford:

We have a Stannah inclined platform lift that provides access from the car park to the main entrance area, but please note that this does not facilitate electric wheelchairs. There is also an interior lift that provides access to the park, café and disabled toilet. This facility has had an independent disabled access survey completed and is fully compliant with all current regulations.

Colchester:

There is wheelchair access into the building at AirHop Colchester but please note there is no access to a hoist to partake in bouncing. There is a lift to the café and party rooms on the first floor. We have 2 disabled car park spaces and a disabled toilet facility on the ground floor.

I don’t want to bounce, is there somewhere I can wait for my children?

A

Good news! If you plan on coming down but don’t want to take part, we have viewing areas with a café. Only people using the trampolines will be charged the admission price.

What should I wear for AirHop activities?

A

Jumping:

Wear comfortable clothes such as shorts, tracksuits and t-shirts. No sharp objects such as belt buckles or clothing studs are allowed on trampolines. All jumpers must wear AirHop non-slip trampoline socks while jumping. No jewellery or hats are permitted while jumping. Glasses can be worn on the trampolines.

Climbing:

Climbers must wear comfortable closed-toe shoes. Unfortunately customers with the wrong footwear will be prohibited from climbing. Comfortable cool clothing is advisable but with no loose items, and long hair must be tied back.

How long do you keep lost property?

A

We keep all lost property, both valuable and non-valuable, for a period of 3 months after which time we donate the items to a local charity shop.

Any credit/debit cards that are found will be destroyed immediately in line with our security procedures.

What time is the first session of the day?

A

Please check the timetable of the site your interested in. The park opens 30 minutes before the first session to allow ample time for check-in and safety briefing. We highly recommend booking in advance to guarantee a jump.

What time is the last session of the day?

A

Please check our park timetables here for Chelmsford,  Colchester, Bristol  and Guildford. The last session will begin the hour before our listed closing time.
